Neither Basildon nor Brentwood Borough Councils have prepared a coherent report worth considering at the present time, there are so many flaws it takes ones breath away, GASP!
Yet both councils seem to be wishing to proceed to finalising site proposals, ignoring objections; major problems and putting forward a concrete adequate proposal that would stand up to scrutiny.
Perhaps it is because they are aware the proposals would not stand up to proper scrutiny and perhaps only wish to ensure revenue around £1.5 million pounds for every 1,000 NEW HOMES for 6 years!
How can both council’s issue such poor quality reports without full disclosure of actual factual information and
infrastructure to justify their proposals. Joe Bloggs could have saved the Councils wasting time by making reports with a severe lack of information.
Compare BRENTWOOD & BASILDON BOROUGH COUNCILS infrastructure proposals to NEW COUNTRY TOWN proposed to Thurrock Council over 30 years ago, which was refused and appeals dismissed, along the A128 and Bulphan etc.
Make no mistake BRENTWOOD BOROUGH COUNCILS reports are of no help whatsoever as to the infrastructure. Their 2016 reports contain inaccurate information, misleading comments and missing vital facts (which councillors acknowledge) but then they appear to have an ulterior motive to promote the indefensible!
Below we compare the proposed infrastructure contained in Basildon’s & Brentwood’s reports to what was proposed for a smaller
development, 30 years ago in Thurrock.!
(Please also read details under heading INFRASTRUCTURE).
Basildon & Brentwood Council’s appear to spin actual facts, but please draw your own conclusion.
- No New Train Station – rely on Laindon – C2C standing room only/no extra capacity
- Transport & Roads – No real details only – details about local roads, not how to overcome A127 congestion problems (To/from London & Southend).
- Lower Thames Crossing – One option appears to make A127 problems increase/worse than ever!
- New Schools may never be built.
- Great deal of infrastructure details either missing/ifs/maybes etc.
To rely on Laindon Station and Laindon shopping Centre
BRENTWOOS PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT, Dunton Hills Garden Village, can be seen as just politically motivated.
They consider South of A127 OUT OF (Brentwood Districts) Area.
